A.I. Music: It’s About the Song

Every generation of music has argued about the tools. Multitracking, synthesizers, sampling, digital editing, pitch correction and home recording all changed how quickly people could turn an idea into a finished recording. A.I. is another major change in that chain.

For The Felicity Station, the test is simpler: does the song move you, tell a story, make you think, make you laugh, make you dance or give you something worth hearing again? The tool matters, but the song matters more.

A.I. has changed speed and access. It lets one person experiment with arrangement, production, voices, genre and storytelling at a scale that once required a large budget. That does not remove taste, direction or judgement. It makes those choices more important.
