One of the biggest parts of The Felicity Station is the musical-book project: complete public-domain stories retold through original songs chapter by chapter.
These are not stage musicals squeezed into two hours. The point is to tell the actual story in music. A chapter can have one song or several. What matters is that the plot, characters and major ideas survive the journey.
Public-domain books give independent creators room to experiment with stories people already know while also introducing listeners to books they may never have opened otherwise.
The larger idea is simple: when the cost of creation falls, more stories can be told. The Felicity Station intends to use that opportunity rather than apologise for it.
