The Dog House Saloon
Updated: Sep 23
Pull up a chair and meet “The Dog House Crew,” a growing collection of songs inspired by friends, road trips, music, and the easygoing welcome at The Dog House Saloon at 777 West Tehachapi. The bikes are part of the scenery, but this is more than a biker bar—you do not need a bike, a vest, or a nickname to belong here. Drive in, walk in, ride in—come however you get here. Have a drink, hear a few legends if you want, meet somebody new, and stay for a song or two.
Some nights at the Dog House are as simple as they should be: friends catching up, somebody choosing the next song, a cold drink on the bar, and another legend getting a little bigger. The songs play with the characters, memories, and stories around the place. Some are true, some got improved on the way to the jukebox, and around here nobody is rushing to separate the two. The heart of it is still good company.
This is no small circle of friends. Cliff Dog, Pops, Big Perm, Father Joe, Steve the Undertaker, John, Mike, Daniel, Brother Phil, Brother David, Louis, Greg, Sanchez, Big Joe, Scott, Bob, Dave, Mile High Matt, Bruce, King of Towing Chino, and Jesse are all part of the story. Some ride together, some meet at the bar, and some simply turn up because they know they will find familiar faces. The bikes and nicknames give the crew its character, but the real story is friendship—looking out for one another, making room at the table, and making sure nobody feels left behind. That is where loyalty begins.
Brother Phil and Tom ride with them in memory, keeping his place in a story built around friendship. Back at the Dog House, Tammy is behind the bar as head bartender; Ali, Jess, Sequaia and Holly keep the room moving; Big Al holds the door; and DJ Charlie has the booth. Together they give the place its rhythm: a friendly bar, good music, familiar faces, and room for somebody new to walk in and feel welcome. Somewhere in the middle of it all, a Tigersharks song is playing and somebody is probably singing along.
“The Dog House Crew” is about friendship, the open road, good music, and the kind of place where people can meet without needing an occasion. You can come in with the crew, come in with a friend, or simply stop by for a drink and a song. Start with “The Biker’s Way,” let the rest of the music roll behind it, and check back once in a while—the Dog House jukebox is still growing.
“The Biker’s Way” opens the music here, but the page is really an invitation to stay awhile and explore the whole jukebox. Each song adds another piece of the Dog House atmosphere—friends, local characters, road stories, music, and the simple pleasure of having a place where people enjoy spending time together. Push play, settle in, and come back to see what joins the jukebox next.
Before you ride out, catch the latest from #Doghouselegends. Around here, every round grows a story and every story grows legs. Got something to say—good, bad, funny or somewhere in between? Leave your signal below. The next rider can take it from there.
